Refund policy
Returns
We offer a 14-day return policy from the date of receiving your order.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unworn, unwashed, unused, with all tags attached and in its original packaging. Please keep your proof of purchase ready.
To initiate a return, contact us at contact@karuma.eu. Once approved, we will provide you with all necessary instructions. Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Please note that scented candles are excluded from our return policy once the seal has been broken or the product has been used, for hygiene reasons.
As a slow fashion label, return shipping costs are borne by the customer. We believe in thoughtful purchasing - each KARUMA piece is a work of art, chosen with intention.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at contact@karuma.eu if your item arrives defective, damaged or incorrect. In such cases, Karuma will cover all return shipping costs.
Editorial and campaign imagery may depict colors, tones and styling that differ slightly from the final product. The accurate representation of each kimono - including print and cut - is shown in the individual product photography on the respective product pages.

In the event of a damaged or defective delivery, simply complete a DHL damage report upon receipt of your parcel. Once submitted, we will process your refund promptly.
Please note that minor fabric variations and slight color differences are not considered defects. Each KARUMA piece is a hand-designed original - these subtle variations are an inherent part of its uniqueness and artistic character, and fall within an acceptable tolerance. They do not affect the value or quality of your piece.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain items cannot be returned, such as perishable goods (e.g., flowers or plants) and custom products. We do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. If you have any questions or concerns about your specific item, please feel free to contact us.
Please Note: Our scented candles are excluded from exchanges. Due to the fragile nature of the glass, shipping can be challenging, and we aim to minimize the risk of damage. Thank you for your understanding.
Additionally, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on sale items, gift cards, and vouchers.
Refunds
We’ll notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund is approved. If approved, the refund will be processed automatically via your original payment method. Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. Please note: we do not accept returns sent to our headquarters without prior authorization.
