Collection: THE WOMAN BEHIND KARUMA

She grew up in the Black Forest - not near it, not visiting it. In it.

As a child, her grandfather led her to the most hidden corners of the forest - places no map could find. He taught her to listen. To the birds. To the trees. To the silence between sounds. That silence never left her, and neither did the stillness it brought. She who has learned to hear the forest is rarely shaken by the noise of the world.

She went on to study fashion design, graduating as a state-certified fashion designer in 2016. Her first steps in the industry took her to Asia - where she discovered the power of dramatic silhouettes, the art of long flowing garments and the ancient relationship between clothing and identity. It was there that a seed was planted - one that would eventually bloom into something rooted much closer to home.

But the forest always called her back.

One day she searched for a kimono that carried the soul of the Black Forest - its animals, its light, its ancient secrets. She found nothing. So she created it herself.

That is how KARUMA was born.

The name is no coincidence. Karuma - the Japanese word for Karma. A reminder that how we move through this world matters. That every living being deserves respect. That animals are not beneath us - they are beside us, and often above us.

She is vegan. She designs in harmony with nature. She believes that true luxury is not about excess - it is about intention.

Every forest has its guardian. Ours happens to design kimonos. 🖤

EN: Where Nature Becomes Power.

At Karuma, we believe that fashion is not something you wear - it is something you feel, something you become. Our philosophy rests on three pillars:

Art without compromise.
Every Karuma design is a single original artwork. We spend days creating each print by hand, because the woman who wears Karuma deserves something that has never existed before and will never exist again.

Nature as the ultimate luxury.
The Black Forest is our studio, our gallery and our greatest inspiration. Ancient trees, morning dew, wild animals, cascading waterfalls - this is the world we draw from. True luxury is not manufactured. It grows.

Conscious by design.
We produce in limited edition - never more than needed. Our materials are vegan and cruelty-free. Our candle glass lives on as a vessel for new life. Our archive pieces find new homes instead of landfills. At Karuma, sustainability is not a marketing claim - it is the only way we know how to work.

WHERE NATURE BECOMES POWER

Bewusst by Design.
